Rules for Tailgating in Spence Park

The use of Spence Park is limited to fans, recognized student organizations and
university departments. Space for corporate tents is available elsewhere on campus.

Site setup may begin no earlier than noon on the day immediately preceding a home
football game. Site must be cleared by noon on the day following a home football game.

No delineation of perimeters ("staking ground") for tailgate site is allowed.

Occupancy of the tailgate site is not allowed between midnight and 5 a.m. on the
night before a home football game.

No trailers, BBQ rigs on trailers, or generators are allowed. Small BBQ grills that
can be carried by one or two people are allowed.

Tailgate supplies must be carried by hand to the site from the street.

Texas A&M University is not responsible for materials/items/personal property left at
a tailgate site, including items left overnight.

Individuals are responsible for compliance with laws governing alcohol consumption.

Fires built on the ground and fire pit devices are not allowed.

For pedestrian safety, keep sidewalks unobstructed. Do not place tents, grills, chairs,
etc., on paved sidewalks or on jogging trails.

Animals are not allowed to run at large on campus and must be leashed at all times.
Furthermore, animals shall not be left unattended or secured to university property.
Clean up after your pet.

Dispose of all trash in receptacles located in Spence Park or pack it out. No disposal of
grease or hazardous materials onto the grounds or into storm drains. Hot coals must be
doused and properly disposed to prevent dumpster fires.

Driving or parking private vehicles on park grounds is prohibited.

For tailgating inquiries call 979.862.8301 from noon to midnight on the day before gameday and
from 5 a.m. until conclusion of the game on gameday.
